Note no longer offer download of iso. Kept this page so one can make their own if they wish. Autopatcher has a Win2000 edition as well as for WinXP.

Requires Windows 2000 (English Edition ONLY) with SP4 installed
either A) slipstream SP4 with a win2000 sp3 cd http://old.bink.nu/bootcd/
or B) install win2000 cd and download and install SP4

No internet connection required when installing which enables you to keep
your computer off the LAN and internet until it's patched thus avoiding
those nasty worms and viruses, etc.

[step01]
First install Internet Explorer 6 SP1
double click step1_ie6sp1.bat
relax for a few mins and it'll automatically reboot when done.

[step02]
Install all hotfixes and patches as of Sep 1, 2004
double click step2_fixes.bat
relax for a few mins it'll automatically reboot when done.

After rebooting when you connect to windows update you should have no
critical updates to install unless they came out after Sep 1, 2004.

[step03]
Install nvidia geforce video driver 61.77 if you have an nvidia video
card chipset. Press YES to the digital signature thing.
Reboots automatically.

[step04]
Install freeware if you wish. Look in 'freeware' directory or
step3_freeware.bat to see what will be installed silently. IZArc
(just like winzip but free) doesn't quite yet have 100% install option.
End of installation you need to close out readme,choose language
and click OK when 'options.'

[step05]
install video codecs quicktime, real, divx, xvid, etc. Media player classic is a fine
free DVD player.

[step06]
install dvd software: dvddecrypter (burn & rip .iso), dvdshrink (rips & transcodes dvds),
dameontools (mounts .iso)

[step07]
install OpenOffice

[step08]
install Nero

- replaced js51nen.exe with js56nen.exe, js51nen was causing MS02-009 vbs56nen.exe to as an update.
Read js56nen wasn't recognized by windows update and a registry patch was required but MS evidently
fixed this as it's no longer required.
- removed 839643 as it is an update for directx7, it's redundant since directx9.0b is installed
- removed 830352 WINS security update...
- first three put back /Q:A /R:N so no clicking NO 3 times is no longer required, not sure what was
screwing this up in the first place.
- added divx5.2

Ar Soft Ramdisk 1.20 ramdisk.zip [93KB] Creates a virtual RAM disk drive. Example you could use 80MB virtual ram disk drive if you have 512MB total and set your temp internet files on it.

Internet Explorer doesn't open up to the maximum size each time. Add this to your portal page. Then after you close it subsequent windows will be opened maximized during that session. If you wish to make it permanent then click it then be sure to close it but have it be the last one close. Why does it always change? Cuz people close popups as their last window opened.
