Flipper = double-sided DVD which has the main movie split on both sides of one DVD disc (DVD-18) and requires you to flip it over to continue viewing the movie or it’s split across two separate DVDs.
Rip both sides of the flipper to an .iso image with dvddecrypter. If you don’t know how see here.
DVDShrink 3.1.7 and above can read .iso images so it’ no longer necessary to mount them as virtual dvds. File | Open Disc Image.
Open up SIDE A by locating the the .iso image you just ripped to your hard drive.
Takes about a minute to analysis the structure and content of the DVD.
Currently if I backed up SIDE A it’ll fit to one DVD+R but the intent is to get this flipper movie onto only one DVD+R.
Click Re-author and then double-click on Main Movie to show the movie title of SIDE A.
Double click on Title 1 (SIDE A of the main movie) to add it to your new Re-authored DVD.
Now open the SIDE B iso image.
Locate SIDE B .iso image and double-click it or highlight it and click open.
Click Re-author and then double-click on Main Movie to show the movie title of SIDE B.
Double click on Title 1 (SIDE B of the main movie) to add it to your new Re-authored DVD so you have both of them together Title 1 = SIDE A and Title 1 (2) = SIDE B.
Now deselect any unwanted audio streams for BOTH titles to get more video quality. 81% isn’t too shabby at all.
SIDE A start frame and end frame.
Side B start frame and end frame.
SIDE A + SIDE B combined onto one DVD+R.
Now click BACKUP button and encode and burn your dvd whichever way you wish.
